When it was reported that the St. Louis Rams would be moving to the West Coast, it meant different things for multiple different teams. For the Atlanta Falcons, it meant that they added just another game on the opposite side of the country to their schedule.

Interestingly, though Atlanta Falcons president Rich McKay points out that that the team may actually make a request to play consecutive games on the West Coast, to avoid having to travel back and forth across the country so much.

"It would make sense that might be something that we would consider; go out there, play a game and stay out there a week and play another game,’’ McKay told AtlantaFalcons.com regarding approaching the league about the schedule.

This comes due to the fact that the Falcons are not only on the road against the Rams, but also against the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders as well. It's a whole lot of traveling, regardless, but allowing the team to avoid traveling and dealing with the time change even just once would definitely be a benefit.
