Ex-Raiders CB Brown says Ravens have shown interest

Published Jun. 22, 2015 6:31 p.m. ET

Cornerback Tarell Brown says the Ravens are one of four teams to have expressed interest in his services.

The free agent corner started 14 games last season with the Raiders despite being hobbled with a foot injury. He told Sirius XM NFL Radio via Pro Football Talk that his broken navicular bone is almost fully recovered, but he wouldn't reveal the other teams that have contacted his agent. Brown met last month with the Patriots, who need depth in the secondary after the departure of Darrelle Revis, Alfonzo Dennard, and Kyle Arrington, the latter of whom signed with the Ravens this offseason.

The Ravens' secondary was decimated by injuries last season, so if they can get Brown on the cheap on a one-year deal, he may be worth adding as insurance.
