Eddie Lacy goes to bed on time, enjoys his best game of season
One week after missing curfew, Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy returned with a vengeance.
Lacy ripped off 24 carries for a season-high 124 yards (5.2 yards per carry) in a 28-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. He ran with a vengeance every time he touched the ball, including one reception for a gain of 24 yards. His final touch of the evening was a one-yard scoring plunge that officially put the game on ice.
This impressive performance against the Cowboys followed a forgettable outing against the Detroit Lions. In that game, Lacy carried the ball only five times for a total of four yards. His extremely limited workload was punishment for missing his curfew the night before the game.
Earlier this season, ankle and groin injuries hampered Lacy's production. Improved health and focus have made all the difference for this third-year back, though. He has rushed for at least 100 yards in three of the past four games.
Moral of the story: Lacy is still an absolute beast of a ball-carrier -- when he goes to bed on time.
