Ed Marynowitz On Tebow: He will compete at quarterback

You can put the reports and rumors about Tim Tebow being used in short yardage and special offensive packages to rest. Chip Kelly's top personnel executive and Eagles VP of Player Personnel, Ed Marynowitz, said that the team views Tebow as a quarterback, not anything else.
"He will compete (at quarterback)," said Marynowitz on Thursday morning when he spoke to the media, as reported by Elliot Shorr-Parks via True Jersey.
Marynowitz confirmed that the team brought in Tebow based on the improvements they saw in his game during a private workout they held for him last month.
"We brought Tim in for a workout and obviously we were intrigued with what we saw there," Marynowtiz said. "He had improved since the last time we saw him here, which was with New England. We had some conversations and we felt it was an opportunity to bring in a guy who can compete for a spot.
With 68 players on the roster right now and five quarterbacks competing to make the team, Tebow faces an uphill battle to make the team.
