Eagles' Zach Ertz goes to U.S. women's World Cup to cheer on girlfriend

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz is taking advantage of his time off before the team meets for training camp. He is currently in Ottawa, Canada, for the Friday showdown in the women's World Cup quarterfinals between United States and China.

Like any good boyfriend would, Ertz is in attendance to cheer on his girlfriend, U.S. defender Julie Johnston. The defender has been one of the tournament's breakout players. Ertz is joined by NBA guard Jrue Holiday, who is in attendance to cheer on his wife, U.S. midfielder Lauren Holiday.

“We both know that, on the outside of our relationship, the other person is dealing with a very high stress work environment,” Ertz said on his personal website, per the Philadelphia Daily Inquirer. “We’re each other’s No. 1 fan and supporter.”
