Eagles score on 98-yard kickoff return by Josh Huff (Video)
If you want to score on the Minnesota Vikings’ defense, just score a 98-yard kickoff TD. Josh Huff took it to the house to get the Eagles on the board.
One of the greatest success stories this season has been the Minnesota Vikings. When Teddy Bridgewater got hurt before the start of the season, it looked like everything they were building towards was suddenly ruined. An injury to Adrian Peterson and trading for Sam Bradford didn’t help matters, either. But the Vikings’ defense, which was their biggest strength coming into this season, has powered them to a 5-0 start while Bradford has been better thane expected.
But in his first game in Philadelphia since getting traded, you know the Eagles were looking to shut down Bradford. He was originally supposed to start ahead of Carson Wentz, but his trade opened up the door for the North Dakota State product. So far, they’ve done a great job of limiting the Vikings’ offense, but while Bradford is 6-for-16, Wentz has been even worse.
The Vikings have feasted on the rookie quarterback who has so far thrown for 53 yards and two interceptions. It looked like it would be a classic Minnesota game in which the offense wouldn’t get an inch to operate, while the Vikings would slowly build up points. But when it came to special teams, the Vikings couldn’t stop Josh Huff, who burned them for a 98-yard kickoff TD:
Josh Huff is very VERY fast.
98 yards… GOODBYE!@Eagles Touchdown! 😳 #MINvsPHI https://t.co/RAnFuaqbfP

Following the touchdown, the Eagles successfully got a two-point conversion to help shift the momentum in their favor. While the game is obviously far from over, this is the first time the Vikings have been in real danger. With the way Bradford has played, a comeback seems unlikely.
