Eagles CB Samuel out vs. Texans

Three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Asante Samuel sat out his second straight game, missing Philadelphia's date against Houston on Thursday night with a knee injury.

He injured his knee while recovering a fumble in a 27-17 win over the New York Giants. He didn't play against Chicago. Samuel missed one game earlier this season with a concussion. He leads the league with seven interceptions.

Joselio Hanson started for Samuel.

Also inactive for the Eagles were WR Riley Cooper, CB Brandon Hughes, DE Juqua Parker, OL Reggie Wells, TE Garrett Mills and OL Austin Howard.

WR Dorin Dickerson, LB Xavier Adibi, G Kasey Studdard, G Shelley Smith, DE Jesse Nading, TE Owen Daniels and TE Anthony Hill were inactive for the Texans.
