Dolphins' Pouncey: Suh 'makes people around him better'

When the Miami Dolphins signed Ndamukong Suh to a six-year, $114 million contract, it was obvious that he was going to have a huge impact on defense. When thinking about it more, however, Suh can also have an impact on offense. That doesn't mean he's lining up at tight end on the goal line like J.J. Watt. It means he's going to make the offensive line better in practice.
According to Dolphins center Mike Pouncey, he's going to make everyone around him better. "It’s gonna make our offensive line really good," Pouncey said on the Joe Rose Show. "You can tell our defense is gonna be really good because of him. He makes people around him better. He’s been the biggest addition to our team since I’ve been here."
The last comment is fairly obvious, seeing as no defensive player has signed a bigger contract in NFL history than Suh. As far as making the offensive line better, Pouncey is absolutely right. In practice, Suh is going to challenge Pouncey and Miami's inexperienced guards, making them better each week.
We'll see plenty of this in training camp as the Dolphins try to figure out a starting offensive line. If Miami's O-line can handle Suh up front, they should be able to handle anyone in the league.
