Dolphins Kiko Alonso breaks thumb
The Miami Dolphins will likely be without Kiko Alonso on Sunday when they face the Arizona Cardinals. Alonso broke his thumb against the Ravens.

Adding an injury to the insult that was last Sunday’s Ravens’ scrimmage against the Dolphins, Miami will not likely have their best linebacker this week. Kiko Alonso broke his thumb and had surgery today to repair it.
Miami is already without Jelani Jenkins who may or may not be ready for the Cardinals game and the Dolphins put Koa Misi on IR a couple of weeks ago with a neck injury. The Dolphins will need to rely on Mike Hull and Neville Hewitt this week.
The Dolphins can only afford to lose maybe one game of their remaining four if they have any hopes of making the post-season. It’s still quite a change that the Dolphins are being talked about as a post-season possibility given their 1-4 opening season start.
Baltimore was a huge loss however because should the Steelers win the AFC North where Baltimore holds a one game lead, the Dolphins would potentially face a head to head elimination for the final 6th seed. It’s almost a given that the 5th seed will come out of the AFC West.
Miami has games remaining against Arizona, Buffalo, New York, and New England. They play both the Jets and Bills on the road while New England comes to Miami the final weekend of the regular season.
