Dolphins' Crowder again ruled out

Published Sep. 17, 2010 9:07 p.m. ET

Miami Dolphins inside linebacker Channing Crowder has been ruled out of Sunday's game at Minnesota, which is not a surprise because he hasn't practiced since Aug. 17.

Crowder worked on the side with team trainers during practice this week while he recovers from a groin injury. He's expected to be replaced again by Bobby Carpenter, who started the opener at Buffalo.

Outside linebacker Ikaika Alama-Francis, who missed the opener because of illness, returned to practice Friday and is listed as questionable.

Rookie defensive end Jared Odrick will miss the game because of a hairline fracture in his right leg.
