Dez Bryant Hauls In Ridiculous Cowboys Touchdown (Video)

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 1:40 p.m. ET

Through interference, Dez Bryant came up with an absurd back-shoulder touchdown catch to tie things up for the Dallas Cowboys.

After a hot start on offense, the Dallas Cowboys defense didn’t have answers for the Detroit Lions. So when the offense too started faltering, the Lions were able to jump out to a 21-14 lead in the first half. However, this Cowboys offense has proven to be anything but shakeable and was steady once again. After a solid drive where Dak Prescott worked his way downfield, he and Dez Bryant then connected to make a big play.

When Dallas went up to the line, the rookie quarterback recognized man coverage with Bryant one-on-one on the outside. Prescott called an audible, one that sent his No. 1 receiver to the back left corner of the end zone.

Sure enough, Bryant found himself in that man coverage and ran right to his spot. The coverage was solid down the sideline, but then the two men locked up. Bryant’s hand was in Johnson Bademosi’s facemase, but Bademosi’s arms were draped all over Dez. That didn’t stop the wideout from getting his back shoulder turned and tipping it to himself with one hand. While going to the ground, Bryant hauled it in somehow and put the Cowboys level with the Lions:

Not even interference is going to stop an absurd touchdown grab like that.

Lions fans will certainly cry for hands to the face, but there was at least mutual jostling between the two players. Moreover, that still shouldn’t take away from the effort Bryant had to make to haul in the touchdown. That score tied things up and the score stood that way, 21-21, at the half.
