Devin Funchess on goal for 2015: 'To be Rookie of the Year'

Devin Funchess isn't one to shy away from the spotlight it seems, and he's also not a player who's lacking confidence in any way, shape or form. At least, that's one way to look at it.
The other way to look at it is that the newest receiver for the Carolina Panthers is simply confident in his own abilities and thinks that he'll produce with his new team immediately.
More likely than not, he's just a confident rookie who's ready to make plays right out of the gate. According to Conor Orr of NFL.com, Funchess has set some lofty goals for himself in 2015, including taking home the Rookie of the Year Award.
"Funchess, the 6-foot-5, 230-pound second-round pick, said as much last week during his NFL.com rookie confessional: 'The goal that I've set for myself is to be Rookie of the Year.'"
Orr also believes that Funchess may very well have a shot at winning the award. With that said, if he lives up to the preseason hype that we've heard from OTAs, there's no reason to think that he's not at least in the running.
