Detroit may not be so neutral a field for Bills, ex-Lions coach Schwartz

A Detroit radio station is encouraging fans to come out and cheer when the New York Jets play the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field on Monday night. And it's not to salute the Bills' resilience in making it out of snowbound Buffalo to a neutral field after this week's huge storm rendered the game unplayable there.

No, Sports 105.1 wants Detroit fans — who can get into the game for free — to show up in green and root for the Jets, the New York Daily News reported.

All the better to show former Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz, now Buffalo's defensive coordinator, how much they don't appreciate him — and especially don't appreciate how he lorded it over Lions fans when the Bills won at Ford Field earlier this season. Schwartz had his players carry him off the field after the Bills' 17-14 victory on Oct. 5.
