Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson wants WWE tickets to see old teammate

When Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson knew WWE superstar Roman Reigns he was Joseph Anoa'i. 

Johnson and Anoa'i were once teammates on the Georgia Tech football team, Justin Rogers of MLive.com reports. The former Yellow Jackets have both attained tremendous popularity through athleticism. Anoa'i, a cousin of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, participated in the Wrestlemania 31 main event back in March.

Now, Johnson wants an up-close look at his old teammate dominating his new craft.

"I told him next time he's in town, either here or Atlanta (Johnson's offseason home), to let me know," Johnson told MLive.com. "I'm looking forward to seeing him work with some ringside passes."

The WWE has yet to announce a tag-team match featuring Roman Reigns and Megatron.
