David Johnson torches the Jets defense for 58-yard TD (Video)
David Johnson got the Cardinals on the board first and he did so by lighting up the Jets defense
In Monday Night Football action this week, the Arizona Cardinals are taking on the New York Jets, it didn’t take all that long to get the scoring going in this one. That’s because David Johnson was out here showing us once again just how deadly he can be with the ball in his hands.
With just under 10 minutes to go in the first quarter, the young Johnson made an absolute mockery of the Jets defense. He did so by ripping off a pretty amazing 58-yard touchdown on this scoring scamper.
You can see video of the play below.
David Johnson’s patience is unbelievable.

What was really most impressive about this run was the patience that he showed. Oftentimes, you see running backs who have the opportunity to get through a defense, but they just don’t have the patience to do so. This was certainly not the case with Johnson here, as he evaluated what he was up against, found a seam and proceeded to get his team the points.
The Cardinals come into this one looking to keep themselves in NFC West contention by moving to 3-3 on the season, and with more runs like this from Johnson, they’ll be well on their way to making that happen.
As for the Jets defense — well, they’d better keep a better eye on this young man the rest of the way, or they’ll be dropping to 1-5 on the year.
