Darrelle Revis ranked No. 17 on NFL Top 100 list

On Wednesday night, NFL Network continued it's countdown of the Top 100 players for 2015. This week they ranked players 11-20 and New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was ranked at No. 17.

The Jets signed Revis to a 5 year, $70 million contract with $39 million guaranteed. Revis has always been considered among the league's best cornerbacks and this ranking reflects that. Based on the rankings, Revis is the second best cornerback behind only Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman who was ranked No. 11 on the countdown.

Revis comes off a 2014 season that saw him post 47 tackles, two interceptions, 14 passes defended and one forced fumble.

In 2015, Revis will continue to line up across from the opponent's best wide receiver. By having "Revis Island" back in New York, the Jets secondary will be vastly improved from a year ago and the defense should be one of the best in the NFL.
