Cowboys' La'el Collins trying to get a hang of things on right side of the offensive line

Whether it was at tackle or guard, Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman La'el Collins lined up on the left side of the offensive formation during his collegiate career at LSU. All of that has changed--at least for now. During OTA practices so far, Collins has lined up at right tackle. He has taken turns with Doug Free and the Cowboys' first team offense.

"We see him as a guy who can maybe do both of those things as he goes," head coach Jason Garrett said, per Todd Archer of ESPN. "The big thing for him is to try to get him acclimated as quickly as he can. So right now he's going to play right tackle for us."

Collins admits that the position switch is definitely a challenge, but he's ready to make it happen.

"Everything," Collins said. "I had to switch over from playing left pretty much my whole career to right. So now I have to switch up my stance and really re-wire my whole mind toward where I want to go when I hear play calls and things like that."

Nothing is set in stone. Collins may eventually be kicked back to the left side to compete with Ronald Leary for the starting left guard spot.
