Chiefs' Catapano looks ready, healthy for 2015 season

Mike Catapano's season was over before it even began.

He was bested by a ferocious mix of illnesses and concussion symptoms in training camp. He never played a snap before landing on injured reserve in Week 3. And like so many of his defensive teammates, Catapano had to sit and watch as his team fought for a playoff spot.

Then, something changed inside the defensive lineman, and instead of wallowing in regret, he said he vowed to work even harder to return.

“I said 'You know what? I have time now to take my body to a whole level that it’s never ever been on,’” said Catapano. “So that has been the whole focus for this offseason. That has been the whole thing—turn this into a blessing that I never could have had unless this happened."

Kansas City could sorely use more bodies up front. And Catapano sure looks motivated to be the player Kansas City needs him to be in 2015.
