According to Coach Pederson, and you may have heard this already, tight end Zach Ertz is officially in the lineup for Sunday. Cornerback Leodis McKelvin and guard Isaac Seumalo are ready to go as well. All of that is music to the ears of any Eagles’ fan.
McKelvin is listed as the second cornerback on the team’s depth chart, and he’ll help shore up the secondary. Seumalo adds depth and consistency to an offensive line that has had some questions but did an extraordinary job against the Pittsburgh Steelers almost two weeks ago.
Pederson seemed pleased with the efforts of his team at practice stating the energy was where he wanted it. Everyone is approaching the coming game as though this team hasn’t won a game yet, and his leaders were doing their part to keep everyone focused.
Much has been said and written throughout the off-season, OTAs and training camp about the wide receivers and their struggles with holding onto to balls that have been thrown their way, so fans of this team will also be excited about what Pederson had to say about Jordan Matthews and his work ethic.
Here’s Pederson’s press conference from Friday in its’ entirety:
