The San Diego Chargers retained one of their defense's biggest assets on Sunday.
Cornerback Brandon Flowers inked a four-year deal, which will earn him about $9 million a year, FOX Sports 1's NFL insider Mike Garafolo reports. ESPN first reported the story.
Flowers, who signed a one-year deal with the club last season, said on NFL Network last week that he "would love to stay in San Diego."

After playing for the Kansas City Chiefs for six seasons, he was released because he carried a hefty price tag. In one season with the Chargers, Flowers played in 14 games, racking up 52 tackles and three interceptions.
