Branden Oliver suffered a toe injury in Baltimore that'll keep him out for the final eight weeks.
So, the Bolts turned to a familiar ballcarrier to take his spot on the active roster.
The Chargers didn't add Smith because of his all-time football name. He's a shifty runner who starred for them this preseason (31 total touches for 82 yards and a touchdown).

He'll start his second tour in yellow and blue on the practice squad. But by the way things are going, he'll see the field sooner than later.
Was with them in camp. RT @CLamontSmith: #NFL Dreamius Smith to the chargers. Good day!
