Cardinals reach agreement on Peterson contract

The Arizona Cardinals have reached a contract agreement with first-round draft pick Patrick Peterson.

The cornerback from LSU, the fifth player drafted overall, could be at training camp in time for Sunday's practice. Coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed the five-year deal when he met with reporters after the team's first training camp practice on Saturday.
