Cardinals RB David Johnson says his knee is 'good to go already'

The Arizona Cardinals were given a scare in Week 17 when star running back David Johnson was forced to leave the game with a knee injury. The severity of it wasn’t initially known, but considering how he went down, the entire organization was forced to hold its collective breath.

Fortunately, it was deemed to be a sprained MCL, which carries a far shorter recovery timetable than a torn ACL would. Johnson has shared videos of himself cutting and even jumping out of a pool, easing the concern of everyone in Arizona.

On Saturday, he gave the ultimate vote of confidence to his knee, saying it’s ready to go.

"My wheel is good," Johnson told said, via the team's official site. "Good to go already. Back training, full throttle. Doing everything."

Johnson was the star of Arizona’s offense last season, racking up more than 2,100 yards from scrimmage and 20 total touchdowns. Without him, the offense would have been abysmal as he joined elite company with a historic season.

Fortunately, he’ll be ready to go when the time comes and his knee doesn’t seem like it’s the least bit of a concern going forward.
