Cameron Artis-Payne ready to get to training camp, show what he can do

Cameron Artis-Payne could turn out to be a steal for the Carolina Panthers. He has the makings of a potential NFL running back, and according to Artis-Payne himself, he feels that he can do a little bit of everything, according to Ashley Mahoney of The Charlotte Post.
“I think I can bring a little bit of everything to the table,” Artis-Payne said in June. “Hopefully I get to display that in these preseason games coming up. I’m looking forward to that. I’m excited to get pads on. Being out here with the guys is great, but it’s a little different when you put the pads on, so I’m looking forward to that.”
It's not just Artis-Payne's confidence that has fans interested to see what he can bring to the table, it's also the words of head coach Ron Rivera as well.
“I think Artis-Payne has done a nice job,” Panthers coach Ron Rivera said during minicamp. “We’ve got some guys that can show us what they’re capable of once we get the pads on.”
Obviously, that's still a far shot from saying that Artis-Payne will be a future starter in this league, but he has some major potential. With training camp just around the corner and no backup locked in behind Jonathan Stewart, Artis-Payne is going to be a player to watch.
