The Buffalo Bills will be heading to Seattle for their Monday Night Football matchup with the Seahawks. They need this win before their bye week.
There’s a lot riding on this game for the Buffalo Bills‘ season, as the team is in the middle of trying to end a 16-year playoff drought. A victory on Monday night vs. the Seattle Seahawks would give them a winning record going into their bye week.
A loss will give them a losing record.
We have a lot of ground to cover here, starting with the odds for both teams.
ESPN has given the Seattle Seahawks a 61.8% chance of beating the Buffalo Bills, who were given just a 37.9% chance. Let’s take a look at the spread, money line and over/under:
Spread: BUF (+7) vs. SEA (-7)
Money Line: BUF (+250) vs. SEA (-300)
Over/Under: 44
It’s clear that the Buffalo Bills are the underdogs in this game and could mostly be due to our consecutive losses. However, the Seahawks are in a somewhat similar scenario.

The Bills went on a four-game winning streak and have had two bad games in a row that resulted in a 3-point loss to the Dolphins and a 16-point loss to the Patriots. On the other hand, the Seahawks were on a three-game winning streak before falling off at the same time the Bills did.
In their past two games, the Seahawks tied the Arizona Cardinals in a 6-6 defensive game and lost by 5 to the New Orleans Saints. However, they are 3-0 at home — those last two losses were on the road — and have the loudest stadium in the NFL, which is bound to cause problems for Buffalo.
A cool statistic to look at — which comes from ESPN — is how poorly the Seahawks have performed when picked as the favorite. They’ve been picked the favorite six times this season and have only won two of those games. Could the Bills bring that record to 2-5?
A lot is going to have to happen if the Buffalo Bills want to beat Seattle on Monday. We will need to continue to take care of the ball on offense, run the ball like we are the best in the league again and limit Wilson and the Seahawks to field goals instead of touchdowns.
One thing that could be standing in either team’s way are injuries. Let’s take a look at the injury report for both the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks.

Lastly, let’s take a look at some predictions from me and my co-editor here at BuffaLowDown.
Oct 30, 2016; Orchard Park, NY, USA; New England Patriots linebacker Barkevious Mingo (51) dives to try and tackle Buffalo Bills punter Colton Schmidt (6) during the second half at New Era Field. The Patriots beat the Bills 41-25. Mandatory Credit: Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports
With two consecutive losses, the Buffalo Bills need to head into their bye week with a victory.
This is a must-win game for the Buffalo Bills and Rex Ryan knows it. With the whole nation watching, this could be the perfect chance to gain everyone’s faith again.
Standing in the way are the Seattle Seahawks, who come equipped with a lot of weapons both on offense and on defense. The Bills will have to get back to the way they were playing during their four-game winning streak and the return of LeSean McCoy could be the answer to that.
