Buffalo Bills claim ex-Titans center Gabe Ikard off waivers

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) The Buffalo Bills have claimed center Gabe Ikard off waivers, two days after he was released by the Tennessee Titans.

Ikard signed with Tennessee last year, but missed his entire rookie season because of a knee injury. He provides depth to an offensive line that was down to seven players.

His addition leaves the Bills with a 52-player roster - one short of the NFL maximum - in preparing for their season opener against Indianapolis on Sept. 13.

The Bills began filling out their practice squad by signing safety Jonathan Meeks, receiver Dezmin Lewis, running back Cierre Wood, linebacker Kevin Reddick and guard Cyril Richardson. All five rejoin Buffalo after being released over the past two days.
