Bruce Arians playfully zings Seahawks during interview

Published Jan. 17, 2016 3:26 p.m. ET

Bruce Arians offered a humorous zinger during an interview with the FOX NFL crew Sunday.

The Arizona Cardinals head coach joined FOX’s studio team for an interview that was aired during halftime of the Seahawks-Panthers playoff game. He was asked whether he preferred to play against the top-seeded Panthers in Carolina or at home against the sixth-seeded Seahawks. His answer was not what you would expect.

"I would rather play Seattle in Seattle," Arians said with a smile.

Hey, sounds crazy, but why not? The Cardinals beat the Seahawks in Seattle 39-32 in Week 10 but lost to them at home 36-6 in Week 17, which explains Arians’ answer. Arizona also went 7-1 on the road this season, so you know they’re not scared about being visitors in another team’s stadium.

Between this and what he once said about the Rams, we know Arians isn’t afraid to go off the menu.
