Browns lineman Winn hurts right knee in practice

BEREA, Ohio (AP) Browns defensive lineman Billy Winn has been carted off the practice field with a potentially serious injury to his right knee.

Winn got hurt during an inside running drill Saturday as the Browns practice in full pads for the first time in training camp. Coach Mike Pettine says the team will know more about the extent of Winn's injury following an MRI and X-rays.

A sixth-round pick in 2012 from Boise State, Winn started five games last season. He recorded a career-high 31 tackles and an interception. In a win over Tampa Bay, Winn jumped over a Tampa Bay lineman and blocked a field goal in Cleveland's 22-17 victory.

On Friday, Browns coach Mike Pettine praised Winn for a strong offseason and said the team was looking for ''big things'' from the 26-year-old.
