Broncos WR Norwood healthy, ready to restart his career

He's a career journeyman. He's coming off a season-ending knee injury. And he's buried on the Broncos depth chart.

Just don't tell Jordan Norwood the odds are stacked against him. The second-year Broncos receiver is expected to play a big part on offense now that he's fully healthy, according to Predominantly Orange.

“I think I’ve been doing well,” Norwood told the team's official website. “I mean, I’ve been having to prove some things to myself, really, just as far as being able to play on my knee and everything. Just getting some confidence back."

Norwood is feeling like last year's preseason star again. He lit up Denver's exhibition slate and finally seemed to carve a niche for himself after stints with the Browns, Eagles, and Buccaneers.

That momentum came to a screeching halt last August when Norwood tore his ACL. It crushed what promised to be a career year.

Then, Gary Kubiak was hired. And the receiver's knee healed. Both events provided the receiver with a fresh start few journeymen ever get.

Norwood plans on making the most of his opportunity.

“I mean, I feel like it’s a new season,” he said. “New coaching staff and a new opportunity to prove yourself and be a part of the team.”
