Bridgewater won't get 'caught up in fantasy football' after big game
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater had a career-best outing against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, but you won't find him celebrating that fact. His personal success was overshadowed by the Vikings' 23-20 loss to the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.
Bridgewater said the number in the win column is the only statistic that matters to him.
Via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press:
Bridgewater threw for a career-high 335 yards against the Cardinals last Thursday night. He was accurate, too, completing 25 of his 36 pass attempts (69.4 percent) to 11 different targets. He tossed a seven-yard touchdown strike to wide receiver Mike Wallace and didn't throw an interception.
These impressive statistics were all for naught, though, as Bridgewater's fumble with only a few seconds remaining still cost the Vikings a potential victory against the Cardinals.
