Justin Blackmon has decided against running in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
Blackmon referenced a “tender” hamstring he recently suffers from: “I might do the gauntlet drill or some short routes, but I’m not going to open it up,” he said.
Blackmon said he still planned on running as recent as Thursday, but he was encouraged to wait until his pro day on March 7.
“I listened to the people who have my best interests,” said Blackmon who is likely to be a top five pick in the draft. “The team that picks me is going to get someone who is dependable and somebody you can count on.”
