Belichick up to challenge;Upon further review, two reversals key moments

Patriots coach Bill Belichick had not used his red challenge flag in the first four games of the season. He dug into his sock and threw it twice yesterday and won both challenges.
In the second quarter, Belichick challenged a ruling on the field that tight end Aaron Hernandez had fumbled after a 6-yard reception. Replays showed that Hernandez was down before the ball came out.
Later in the second, Belichick challenged that Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco's knee was down short of a first down on a third-down scramble during which he fumbled the ball and it was recovered by Baltimore's Ray Rice.
"It was right in front of us on the sideline and it didn't look to me like Flacco had the yardage when the ball came loose," Belichick said. "And the first one, we got a good call from the guys upstairs on that one. They saw the replay and said his elbow hit. That one really didn't seem that close."
First catch for Crumpler
In his first game as a Patriots captain, veteran tight end Alge Crumpler made his first catch in a New England uniform.
Brady hit Crumpler for a 4-yard gain during the winning drive.
Last week, Belichick named Crumpler a team captain for the rest of the season.
"It was an honor," Crumpler said. "I didn't expect this, but I embrace the opportunity to keep leading and keep helping this ball club win games."
Page, Edelman injured
Safety Jarrad Page (calf) and wide receiver Julian Edelman (head) left the game with injuries and did not return.
Wes Welker took over the punt return duties after Edelman went out and averaged 9 yards on three returns.
Taylor among inactives
The Patriots' inactives were Fred Taylor, Taylor Price, Terrence Wheatley, James Sanders, Thomas Clayton, Rich Ohrnberger, Mark LeVoir and Kyle Love. ... Rookie defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick, a seventh-round draft pick, made his first career start. He was credited with a sack in the first quarter when he chased Flacco out of bounds.
