Beckham's 100-yard game capped off with a clutch first down

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had one of his best games of the 2015 regular season, and he did so without making any flashy catches. Beckham finished with nine catches for 105 yards, including a key third-down reception on the Giants' final drive.

With a five-point lead and just 4:14 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Giants faced and a third-and-long from their own side of the field. Quarterback Eli Manning dropped back, immediately looked left to Beckham's side, and delivered a low strike in his direction. Beckham plucked the ball just inches from hitting the ground and secured the key first down.

"Odell made a heck of a play to get a first down," head coach Tom Coughlin said to reporters after the game, per Newsday.

As he is more times than not, Manning was quite impressed with Beckham's ability to come up with a key play at a critical moment.

"It was tight, but we needed a first down right there," Manning said to reporters of Beckham's third down catch. "They played it pretty well and I tried to put it in a safe spot. He did a great job of getting his hands underneath the ball and making that catch. A huge third-down conversion. They had a little momentum going offensively, and to get that, run some more clock, make them use timeouts, was huge."

Beckham saw 17 total targets in the team's Week 9 win after seeing single-digit targets over the Giants' past three games.
