Bears prepare for Dallas with Brian Hoyer at quarterback

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) Quarterback Brian Hoyer is preparing as if he's the starter at quarterback in place of the injured Jay Cutler as the Chicago Bears get set to play in Dallas on Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

Hoyer played for the Houston Texans during a playoff run last season.

Cutler suffered a thumb sprain Monday night in a 29-14 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He hasn't officially been listed as out, but he is not practicing.
