Bears' Pernell McPhee records first sack since Week 8

Chicago Bears outside linebacker Pernell McPhee sacked Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston during a Week 16 showdown at Raymond James Stadium. It was his first sack since a Week 8 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, snapping a cold streak that dated back to Nov. 1.
Via Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune:
McPhee was a big free-agency signing for the Bears last spring. His impact as the primary pass-rusher in Vic Fangio's 3-4 scheme was strong for the first half of the season; he collected five sacks in the first eight games.
A knee injury, which cost McPhee two games, has stifled production his since then. He was held without a sack in five consecutive appearances, but his takedown of Winston in Week 16 may be a sign that he has turned a corner in his recovery.
