Bears G Matt Slauson wins Good Guy Award from local media

The Chicago Chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America named guard Matt Slauson winner of the Bears' Good Guy Award for 2015.
The purpose of the Good Guy Award is to honor a player who is "professional, respectful and helpful" with members of the local media, according to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Slauson also won this award as a member of the Jets in 2011, but he said dealing with the New York media was a much different challenge.

"You guys are by far and away the best," Slauson said to members of the Chicago media, accorging to the Sun-Times.
Slauson has been a big help for the team and not just the beat writers. He has started every game this season and has even stepped in at center when needed.
