Bears agree to 1-year contract with receiver Thompson

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) The Chicago Bears and receiver Deonte Thompson have agreed to a one-year contract.

Thompson played in seven games with the Bears last season, returning 14 kickoffs for 409 yards and contributing two receptions for 81 yards. He was signed to Chicago's practice squad in September and elevated to the active roster in November. In four seasons with Baltimore (2012-13), Buffalo (2014) and Chicago (2015), Thompson has 17 receptions for 228 yards and 36 kickoff returns for 999 yards.

The Bears announced the agreement on Thursday.
