Arizona Cardinals-Tampa Bay Bucs: Inactives
The Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced their inactives for Sunday afternoon’s game
The Arizona Cardinals and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play at University of Phoenix Stadium at 1:05 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Both teams have announced their inactive players.
The Arizona Cardinals do have a couple of different players on the list this week, including receiver J.J. Nelson, who hurt his shoulder in the loss to the New England Patriots last week.
Arizona Cardinals inactives:
WR J.J. Nelson
DT Robert Nkemdiche
DT Frostee Rucker
S Marqui Christian
DT Olsen Pierre
LB Kareem Martin
G Cole Toner
Rucker was also injured last week against the Patriots. It was announced Rucker was going to miss the next two to three weeks, so his addition is also not a surprise.
Nkemdiche, who did not play well in last week’s loss, is out for Sunday as well. He is listed to have an injured ankle.
Rucker’s absence means Ed Stinson is active on Sunday. Stinson was inactive last week against the Patriots.
Also notable active on Sunday is guard Evan Mathis. Mathis was injured last week and there was talk this week whether he would be able to continue on not only this week but for the future as well.
It says something about the Cardinals depth at defensive tackle to have three of the seven guys on the inactive list coming from that line. The Cardinals should be just fine with the players they have available there.
Linebacker Kareem Martin is likely to miss at least another month or so. He was injured in the final preseason game but was not put on the injured reserve.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers inactives:
QB Ryan Griffin
S Ryan Smith
RB Peyton Barber
LB Devante Bond
T Leonard Wester
DE Channing Ward
OL Caleb Benenoch
No Earth-shattering news on the Tampa Bay side of things. Tampa will have all their top skill players available to them on Sunday afternoon.
