Since the NFL cares more about fining players for showing emotion, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown had to find a more reserved way to celebrate yet another touchdown reception.

Antonio Brown, aka Hingle McCringleberry, did too many pumps on a touchdown celebration earlier this season. But the Pittsburgh Steelers superstar didn’t make the same “mistake” in Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.

Following an easy five-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger at the heart of the Jets end zone, Brown didn’t celebrate his TD catch. We’ve become accustomed to watching Brown’s joyous choreography. But he did at least come up with another noteworthy way of celebrating six points for his team.

As you can see, Brown, instead of dancing, walked straight over to a Steelers fan and handed the ball to his face. Okay, it was a cutout of his face—but still. And it was nice to see Brown rewarding someone who isn’t just a fan of the Steelers, but also a fan of the player himself.

Coming into Week 5, Brown was averaging 92.3 yards per game with four touchdowns and he is maintaing his average of precisely one touchdown reception per game. The Steelers led 24-13 against the Jets after the Brown score, even though Ryan Fitzpatrick hadn’t thrown an interception yet. Roethlisberger hadn’t thrown a pick either and he was, as usual, lighting it up with 282 passing yards and three touchdowns.

The No Fun League has claimed another victim, and they almost kicked Brown out for wearing cleats in tribute to Muhammad Ali. You know, an athlete who showed his emotions and spoke his mind. Brown had to change out of the Ali cleats.
