Anthony Barr reveals that he has been playing with broken hand

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr is one tough dude. On Tuesday, Barr told reporters that he has been playing with a broken hand, according to Matt Vensel of the Star Tribune.

The injury occurred on Nov. 8, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, during an overtime victory against the St. Louis Rams in Week 9. Barr has been wearing a protective cast, but he claims that his hand is now fully healed.

Barr was able to keep the severity of his injury a secret so long because it did not affect his production at all. The second-year pro is still the team's leading tackler with 61 stops on the season (5.5 tackles per game). In a win over the Falcons this weekend, he was a real difference-maker with eight tackles (one for a loss), two forced fumbles, a sack and pass breakup.

The Vikings have one of the top defenses in the league this year, and Barr seems to be the unit's most determined playmaker. If a broken hand can't keep him out of the action, it's difficult to imagine what will.
