Amendola, Gronkowski inactive for Patriots

Wide receiver Danny Amendola and tight end Rob Gronkowski are inactive for the New England Patriots in Thursday night's game with the New York Jets.

With rookie tight end Zach Sudfeld also inactive (hamstring), Tom Brady's receiving corps is depleted. Amendola has a groin injury. Gronkowski is missing his second straight game after forearm and back surgery.

Also inactive are Patriots running back Brandon Bolden, linebacker Steve Beauharnais, offensive lineman Will Svitek and defensive tackle Chris Jones.

For the Jets, wide receiver Jeremy Kerley is inactive with a concussion after catching three passes in Sunday's 18-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The other inactive Jets are quarterbacks Mark Sanchez with a shoulder injury, and Brady Quinn; guard Will Campbell; tackle Ben Ijalana; offensive lineman Oday Aboushi; and linebacker Quinton Coples with an ankle injury.
