Adam Vinatieri reaches major milestone against Miami

A fourth-quarter field goal in Sunday's 18-12 win against the Miami Dolphins helped Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri join an exclusive group at his position.

With the Colts leading 15-9, Vinatieri connected on a 38-yard field goal, the 500th of his career. 

Via the Colts, Vinatieri became the third kicker in NFL history with 500 field goals, joining Morten Andersen and Gary Anderson.

The NFL's oldest player at age 42, Vinatieri's kick was also his 22nd straight successful field goal attempt.
