Aaron Rodgers is now calling one of his receivers 'Mr. January'
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been waiting for one of his pass-catchers to step up all season. Although wide receiver Davante Adams posted modest statistics in the season finale (Jan. 3) and the first round of the playoffs (Jan. 10), he has come up with some big catches in those games.
Now, Rodgers is calling him "Mr. January."

The Packers had big expectations for Adams after his rookie year, but he had an underwhelming second season. He missed three games with an ankle injury and finished the season behind receivers James Jones and Randall Cobb, as well as tight end Richard Rodgers, for receiving yardage (483).
In the month of January, however, Adams has eight catches for 102 yards. He caught a 10-yard touchdown against the Redskins that gave the Packers their first lead of the game, before leaving with a knee injury.
Rodgers will need a healthy Adams in the lineup against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday. He struggled to move the ball through the air when his Packers last met the Cardinals in Week 16, throwing for 151 yards and weathering eight sacks. Adams had three catches for 42 yards in that game.
