San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde was cleared to return in the fourth quarter after passing a concussion evaluation during Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.
Hyde headed to the locker room after a nine-yard reception in the third quarter. He was hit on the head by Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons on the play and took himself out of the game, according to Dennis O'Donnell of KPIX.

Hyde jogged back onto the field early in the fourth quarter and was cleared to return, according to Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News, but there was little reason to put him back on the field in a lopsided loss.
