49ers guard Alex Boone ends holdout, reworks deal

49ers guard Alex Boone ended his preseason-long holdout on Sunday morning after agreeing to a new salary, FOX Sports 1's Mike Garafolo confirmed. Pro Football Talk first broke the story.

Boone was slated to earn $3.7 million in base compensation (base salary, roster bonus, workout bonus) over the next two seasons. That number was bumped to $6 million. With incentives, he can earn up to $8 million.
