16 scholar-athletes draft eligible

Likely first-round draft pick Anthony Castonzo of Boston College is among 16 scholar-athletes recognized by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.
Castonzo is joined by two other offensive tackles considered potential first-rounders, Nate Solder of Colorado and Derek Sherrod of Mississippi State.
Each of the 16 players earns an $18,000 post-graduate scholarship from the NFF, with defensive end Sam Acho of Texas receiving a $25,000 post-graduate scholarship as the nation's top scholar-athlete.
Each scholar-athlete candidate must be a senior or graduate student in his final year of eligibility; have a grade point average of at least 3.2; be a starter; and have demonstrated strong leadership and citizenship.
The other players are quarterbacks Ben Chappell of Indiana, Greg McElroy of Alabama, Christian Ponder of Florida State, and Scott Tolzien of Wisconsin; running backs Owen Marecic of Stanford, Isaac Odim of Minnesota Duluth, and Ben Wartman of St. Thomas, Minn.; linebackers Alex Gross of Columbia, Mike Mohamed of California, and Travis Nissley of Bucknell; and guards Chris Stewart of Notre Dame and Stefen Wisniewski of Penn State.
