Derrick Williams got off to a slow start with the Knicks this year. Even after a big preseason, it wasn't out of character. Williams has never been a big-time player despite his pristine athleticism and being a former No. 2-overall pick.
Over the past three games, things have changed. Williams is starting to make legitimate contributions, and nothing over that short stretch symbolizes D-Will's turnaround better than the couple of dunks he slammed home during the Knicks' win over the Pistons on Tuesday:
Williams put in 18 points on only nine shots against the Pistons. He is averaging 13.3 points per game on 56 percent shooting over this trio of contests.
