Warriors re-sign Jeff Adrien from D-League

The Golden State Warriors have re-signed Jeff Adrien from the NBA Development League to give them another power forward.

The Warriors made the announcement Friday. Adrien began the season with Golden State, appearing in 15 games. He was waived on Dec. 9 and spent 26 games in the D-League.

Adrien first joined the Erie BayHawks for five games before being traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds this season in the D-League.

The move comes after the Warriors traded forward Brandan Wright and center Dan Gadzuric to New Jersey earlier this week for Troy Murphy and a second-round pick. Murphy's contract is expected to be bought out, and Golden State needed another forward behind David Lee and Ekpe Udoh.
