The Blazers show us all the right way to finish a quarter

Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum has all but locked this season's Most Improved Player of the Year award. The slick combo guard is averaging 20.4 points per game and nailing nearly 40 percent of his threes.

On Sunday night, he posted a 35-point, 11-rebound, 9-assist, 4-steal performance for the ages, obliterating the Sacramento Kings in the process. Here's one of the highlights:

The fact that McCollum did all of this while the other team didn't have to worry about Damian Lillard is astonishing.

Portland's third-year guard is quickly becoming a star, and there's a good chance his awards don't stop at Most Improved Player.
