Steve Nash: Curry may be 'as skilled a player as we've ever had'

Golden State Warriors player development consultant and two-time MVP Steve Nash had high praise for Warriors superstar Stephen Curry in a recent interview with the San Jose Mercury News.
That's quite the compliment from one of the most skilled and fundamentally sound players in NBA history -- a player who, of course, Curry notably resembles.
Though some -- including Kevin Garnett last week -- have begun to compare Curry to Michael Jordan, Nash said to pump the brakes on that comparison, before adding that Curry is carving out a historical niche of his own.
"I wouldn’t compare him to Michael Jordan -- I wouldn’t compare anybody to Michael," Nash said. "But I would say Steph is turning into a historical category of his own, in a way."
It's unclear how long Curry can keep up this level of play -- averaging 33.7 points per game and his .689 True Shooting Percentage is unprecedented, especially for a point guard -- but even if he comes down to earth a little bit, he's still an offensive force like we've never seen.
